Received a call on landline from 607-271-9258. Recorded voice message said it was a Final Notice that IRS was filing a lawsuit against us and to call 509-587-4585. Think if this was the case I would receive it in writing direct from IRS. This is a SCAM!

Scam, using the IRS as a threat, saying they have filed a lawsuit...

Received a call on my cell phone from 607-271-9258. They said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and asked to call back number 202-241-2762. I figured I would check here first to see what you all have said because I highly doubt the IRS is contacting me on my cell phone. I won't be calling back. Thanks for your help!

Obviously even calls foreign numbers... My mother in Germany received a call from this number on Feb. 2. 2015 at about 4 a.m (your time) There was a male voice on the phone quite unclear and not to understand, so she hang up.

January 05.2015, Received a call from 607-271-9258 on my personal cell which is Unlisted/restricted. I don't answer unknown numbers, it left a mechanical voice message about a IRS Filing a Law Suit and to call 202-470-6806. This number (202-470-6806) goes to a fast busy tone and doing a web search, it states this account is suspended.

Calls 3-5 times per day...no messages

Repeated phone calls from this number. When I answer there is no one on the other end.

Calls several times, never leaves message. We are on the Do not call List. Getting very angry at whoever is doing this.

Called again, asked for ssn#

They called and offered me a payday loan so I just hung up. Called the number back no answer there should be a law against things like this. What's this world coming to.

My husband keeps getting calls from this number.
